About MarriageHunt

Most people spend more time researching a car loan than the person they plan to spend sixty years with.

That is not a criticism. It is a description of the tools we were given.

Dating apps optimize for engagement — infinite swipes, endless chats, monthly subscriptions that renew while you hope. They are designed to keep you searching, not to help you decide.

We think that is backwards.

MarriageHunt exists for people who have already decided what they want, and now need better rooms and better conversations.

1. What We Actually Are

MarriageHunt is a private community for people who treat partnership as a serious life decision. We do three things:

We run a member directory.

Browse rich profiles of marriage minded members. Filter by what actually matters: faith, family plans, values. No swiping, and no algorithm deciding who you are allowed to see.

We host member meetups.

Coffee, coworking, drinks, a walk. Members host in any city. RSVP is free. Everyone covers their own tab. Listings and locations stay inside the community.

We keep warm introductions.

Ask for an introduction when someone stands out. You can say you want to be married within two years without sounding intense. Here, that is just context.

2. What We Are Not

We are not a dating app. We do not matchmake. We do not rank you by attractiveness or algorithmically suggest your "perfect partner."

We do not promise you will meet your spouse here. We promise you will meet people who are asking the same questions you are, in rooms where the odds are not stacked against you.

If you are looking for a magic formula, we do not have one. If you are looking for better inputs, better rooms, better conversations, and better people, that is exactly what we built.

3. Why This Exists

MarriageHunt started with a simple observation: the people who were most serious about marriage were the most underserved by the existing ecosystem.

Dating apps are built for volume. Wedding planners are built for people who have already found someone. Therapists are built for people who are already married and struggling. No one builds for the person in the middle — the person who knows what they want, but does not know where to find it.

We also noticed something else. The people who figured it out were not luckier. They were more intentional. They put themselves in rooms with better odds. They joined communities where their timeline was normal, not weird. They treated the search like a life decision, not a weekend activity.

We wanted to make that intentionality available to more people.

4. The Philosophy

We believe in a few things that shape everything we build:

Intentionality is not desperation.

Saying "I want to be married" is not a sign that something is wrong with you. It is a sign that you know what you want. We do not apologize for that.

Rooms matter.

Who you sit next to shapes who you meet. Member hosted meetups and a directory of people on the same timeline beat a swipe stack.

Community is the shortcut.

You do not need another profile. You need to be in rooms where the right people already are.

Profitability is a feature.

We are bootstrapped. We charge an annual fee. We do not take venture capital, we do not run ads, and we do not sell your data. If this is useful, people pay. If it is not, we die. That keeps us honest.

5. How We Make Money

We charge Loading membership price per year for membership. That is it.

No monthly subscriptions. No premium tiers. No in-app purchases. No affiliate spam.

We believe the best business model is one where our incentives align with yours. We want you to join, get what you need, and stay because the community is valuable — not because we locked you into a billing cycle.

If we ever add adjacent products, they will be optional and clearly priced. The core community will always be a single, transparent fee.

6. The Founder

MarriageHunt was built by one person with a laptop, a spreadsheet, and a belief that the most important decision in your life deserves better tools than a swipe interface.

We are not a startup with a $10 million seed round and a foosball table. We are a solo operation that ships fast, talks to members daily, and fixes things that break within hours.

That means we are small. It also means we are reachable. If you email us, a human reads it. If you suggest a feature or an event idea, we actually consider it. If something is broken, we know about it before you do.

We like it this way.

7. By The Numbers

  • 12,400+ members worldwide
  • 6 to 12 people at a typical event
  • 1 full-time founder
  • $0 in venture capital
  • $0 spent on advertising

8. What Members Say

“I joined because I was tired of explaining to my friends why I wanted to be intentional about dating. Here, I did not have to explain anything.”Alex, 33, Lehi

“The Provo dinner felt like a dinner party where everyone had read the same book. I made two close friends and met my partner six months later. The community was the environment, not the algorithm.”Priya, 30, St. George → Provo

“I almost skipped the Saturday coffee. I sat next to my fiancé for two hours. Best morning I have ever spent.”James, 35, Ogden

“Finally, a place where 'I am looking for a life partner' is not a red flag. It is just the starting point.”Sarah, 31, Provo

9. The Invitation

If you are tired of apps that treat your timeline like an engagement metric, you are not alone.

If you believe that the rooms you are in shape who you meet, you are not alone.

If you want to be around people who are building something intentional, not just killing time, you are not alone.

We built this for you.
